Of these four completed villas, three are for sale and available for immediate move in: the Vasari Arts & Crafts Villa, the Romano Contemporary Manor House Villa and the Romano Arts & Crafts Manor House Villa.

The Vasari Contemporary won a 2008 Gold “Home of the Year” Award for “Best Maintenance-Free Home” in the $849,999 and Under category.

Innovative and high-tech, yet warmly opulent, the homes at Hill Trail are nestled in nature with gorgeous woodland views and easy access to a woodland walking trail that meanders under the tree canopy and bridges a stream inviting exploration and year-round enjoyment.

The two new villas in the historic Manor House Building feature exteriors that combine traditional and modern elements and complement both the Contemporary interior of the Manor House North Villa and the Arts & Crafts interior of the Manor House South Villa. The six new villas (including both attached and detached homes) and six new townhomes being built feature handsome exteriors in brick and James Hardie fiber cement siding with a contemporary sensibility; however, the interiors of these new homes can be finished in either a contemporary or a more traditional Arts & Crafts style to best suit the purchasers’ tastes. Prices range from the mid $600,000s to the mid $800,000s. The community’s first townhome building is under construction, and a Vau Arts & Crafts Townhome is expected to be completed and open for viewing in early April.

The Manors of Hill Trail is being built is on land formerly occupied by the Hill Trail Bath & Tennis Club, in the heart of Ballwin. The Manor House building served as the bath and tennis club’s clubhouse until its closing, but had originally been a private residence designed by noted architect William Maritz in the 1930s for a multi-hundred acre estate on which champion thoroughbred horses had been raised until the 1950s. The original owners’ son reportedly trained and rode a horse given to him by August Busch as part of the U.S. Olympic Team in the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. The community’s new street Champion Way is named in honor of this proud equestrian heritage.

Metropolitan delivers on its promise at The Manors of Hill Trail, offering “inspired living in an inspired setting … without the work and worry of outside maintenance.” It’s an ideal neighborhood for busy professionals and empty-nesters who want a new, exquisitely-designed home without the snow shoveling, grass cutting, gutter cleaning, etc., while being conveniently close to all the best that West County has to offer.
