New model home unveiled at The Manors of Hill Trail

Ballwin, Mo. Potential homebuyers should expect to be surprised when they first glimpse inside homes at The Manors of Hill Trail. This stunning enclave of villas and townhomes celebrated the public grand opening of its new Vasari Contemporary Villas Display Home on Saturday, Nov. 10, following an official ribbon cutting ceremony at an invitation-only party on the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Those striking impressions come from the atmosphere created here by Metropolitan Design & Building Company of St. Louis. You won’t believe this picturesque community is so near the heart of a major U.S. city. You won’t believe such cutting-edge home designs can be found in the Midwest.

Four of the community’s eventual 14 villas and townhouses are available for viewing, including the fully furnished Vasari Contemporary Villa Display Home. Visitors can also tour three other completed homes: a Vasari Arts & Crafts Villa, a Romano Contemporary Manor House Villa and a Romano Arts & Crafts Manor House Villa. Beyond the possibility of finding a dream home, the unprecedented designs at The Manors of Hill Trail promise an uplifting visit. Innovative and high-tech, yet warmly opulent, the homes are nestled in nature with gorgeous woodland views and easy access to woodland walking trails.

The homes at Hill Trail are eclectic. Two new villas have been created in the restored, historic Manor House, which was built in the 1930s. Originally designed by noted architect William Maritz, the exterior of the Manor House combines traditional and modern elements and complements both the contemporary interior of the Manor House North Villa and the arts & crafts interior of the Manor House South Villa. Similarly, the six new villas and six new townhomes being built feature handsome exteriors in brick, Hardie Board fiber cement siding and EIFS with a contemporary sensibility; however, the interiors of these new homes can be finished in either contemporary or a more traditional arts & crafts style to best suit the purchasers’ tastes. Prices range from the mid $600,000s to the mid $800,000s. The community’s first townhome building is under construction, and a Vau Arts & Crafts Townhome is expected to be completed in time for a grand opening in early February.

The Manors of Hill Trail is being built is on land formerly occupied by Hill Trail Bath & Tennis Club in the well-established Wildwood neighborhood in the heart of Ballwin. The Manor House building served as its clubhouse until the club’s closing, but had originally been a private residence on a multi-hundred acre estate on which champion thoroughbred horses had been raised from the 1930s to the 1950s. The community’s new street Champion Way is named in honor of this proud equestrian heritage.
